The Compliance Section is responsible to work with all law enforcement agencies to assure compliance with Peace Officer Professional Standards (POPS) and assist the DOCJT Grant Section to assure all law enforcement agencies which receive Kentucky Law Enforcement Foundation Program Fund funding are in compliance with KRS 15.310-.510 and appropriate KARs.

The section is also responsible for monitoring all Carrying Concealed Deadly Weapon activities in the Commonwealth of Kentucky to assure the educational activities and certification of instructors and applicants are conducted in compliance with existing statutes.

Through achieving and maintaining compliance in these areas, public confidence is assured. It is the section's desire that visits from the compliance team be helpful in meeting the educational and professional goals of all Kentucky law enforcement agencies and their respective communities.
