The Basic and Advanced Skills Firearms Section provides real-life, proven handgun and shotgun training to ensure that all graduates possess the necessary skills and abilities to utilize deadly force when necessary to protect themselves and the citizens they are sworn to serve. The section also assists in providing advanced training to Kentucky's incumbent officers with a variety of courses including special weapons and tactics response.
